Do You Know What Today Is? It’s My Bloggaversary!

Issa celebration! I can’t believe that it’s been a full year since my first official debut as a blogger. I began without a single ounce of what blogging consisted of, determining what to blog about and definitely NOT how to upload content and manage my own website. I gave you guys a snippet of what it felt like at the seven month mark but to see it through to the one year mark is one of the most gratifying moments that I’ve experienced in a long time. So in honor of my one year bloggaversary, I’d like to write a letter to you, my readers.

Dear reader,

First and foremost thank you for reading. Your support doesn’t go unnoticed. Here are the receipts.

2017

2018

Yeah. Wow. I’m speechless as well. Never in a million years did I imagine that so many people would be interested in what I have to say. Whether it’s your first time reading, you’ve accidentally stumbled onto my page or you’re subscribed and tuned in weekly, THANK YOU!

When I begin to feel writers block creeping in, you all (and Milo when he’s not sleeping) give me the inspiration to keep pushing. I hope that I have been just as inspiring through my writing as well.

It wouldn’t be me if I didn’t take a moment to reflect on a few more things that I’ve learned since the seven month mark.

  1. Organization is key

This is my blog schedule in real time. Sure I could use a system online for organization, but I enjoy my thought process. I actually enjoy writing. For the most part, I stick to my schedule but hey shit happens. I believe in adjustments as well. (Just wait til you see the photoshoot…..future fire…..delayed thanks to USPS). As ideas come, I write them down IMMEDIATELY. Do I always have content on hand? Hell naw! Everyone knows that Tuesday nights are reserved for wine and writing. No exceptions.

  1. Everything you don’t know is somewhere on the internet

…..and likely free. Between WordPress’ helpful tips, YouTube and community forums, all of the information you need is at your fingertips floating around the world wide web. Seek and ye shall find. If not, phone a techy friend.

  1. Do you boo boo!

Who cares if everyone else is blogging? They aren’t you! Nobody can take away your perspective. There are no blogger police limiting you. This is your space. No pun intended.

  1. Somebody gon feel it

Listen, I’d be lying if I said that some pretty dope opportunities wouldn’t begin to present themselves when you put yourself out there. Sure the internet can be a crazy and unpredictable place but so is your mind and there is plenty of room for growth and opportunity. Hey you trust me right? Just take my word for it. But I also dare you to see it for yourself!

If you’re reading this, also check out some of the new content that I’ve added and stay tuned for upcoming additions.

I love you!
